Mr. Clean Magic Erasers do a great job o whitewalls. Easy to use, and no fumes. Get at any Grocery Store in the household cleaner isle

Yeah, I think if you do a search you see Erasers and Wesleys Bleach white as popular methods, but recently i changed my brake pads away from HDs to Lyndell Z pads.........not only do they brake perfectly, they are DUST-LESS and I can now see a huge difference in the amount of brake dust even after long rides.....hardley any with the new pads.

I also use Mr. Clean Magic eraser sponges. They truly are magic.

Ditto on Mr. Clean....but Mother's now markets a chrome spoke cleaner...spray on rinse off....that cleans the brake dust off.....but Mr.Clean will make em snap....

Just as an alternative solution, I spray some Simple Green from the plastic spray container onto a rag and just wipe them clean, then follow up with a damp rag. Lots cheaper than Mr. Clean, and not as messy.

I also run Lyndall-Z pads, which do indeed make a huge difference not only in brake dust but in stopping power as well. At about $35 per set, they're one of the cheapest and best mods out there.
