Are you talking about changing them to the "D" shaped boards ( I dont think you can change the inserts on the Deluxe boards) or are you talking about forward controls as Anubisss said?
It is an extremely easy job to switch floorboards. I'm pretty sure that any of the other Harley boards will swap right out with them, but I could be wrong. I think that the dimensions of the board mounts have been the same since the 80's. I've got my eye on a set of Cyclesmiths, but I'm still unsure if I want to buy them or else make myself a set of custom boards. Here they are. They're beautiful, but at $230 I think I'll wind up making something myself.
