Default Floorboards?

Want to change out my floorboards on my 05 Deluxe. How difficult a job and where is a good place to look for replacements? Thanks.

Are you talking about changing them to the "D" shaped boards ( I dont think you can change the inserts on the Deluxe boards) or are you talking about forward controls as Anubisss said?

It is an extremely easy job to switch floorboards. I'm pretty sure that any of the other Harley boards will swap right out with them, but I could be wrong. I think that the dimensions of the board mounts have been the same since the 80's. I've got my eye on a set of Cyclesmiths, but I'm still unsure if I want to buy them or else make myself a set of custom boards. Here they are. They're beautiful, but at $230 I think I'll wind up making something myself.

You are right. All the floorboard pans will fit all the different bike with floorboard mounts be it the D shaped boards, the deluxe boards or the half moon springer boards. Its just 2 bolts and nuts that hold them to the brackets. If your just talking about inserts, they are only held on by 5 or 6 rubber pieces that fit in the holes of the pan. just put some dish soap on the rubber to get them in and out and its a pull and press operation. Really easy.
