Switching Floorboard to other board or egs on Deluxe
I am starting to not like my stock floorboards. I have not found any other floors that I really like either so I am considing switching to pegs. So does anyone have any cool looking floorboards. Or photos of pegs on a deluxe.
If you are going to switch to pegs you need to switch to a full forward control set up which is not inexpensive. I run bagger floorboards with harley Goodies brackets. Took a little monkey engineering to get them to fit they love them.
I have been looking at floorboards as well. I thought about going with the cheap $70 ones, but I will probably spend a little more and get some nice ones like these.
The Deluxe is designated FLSTN ... the "N" is supposed to stand for Nostalgic ... while the Deluxe's styling generally fits that bill, I think the boards are the 'out-lier' ... I think the half-moon type boards off the Crossbones or the Softail Slim would be much more appropriate than the stock chrome ones with the funky tapered shape ...
There are also chrome board trays vice the blacked out that come on the Crossbones and Slim ...
