I picked up my new 06 SEFB and I am having some serious problems with the engine. I got the V&H shortshot pipes put on the bike and did the HD Race Tuner Kit. My main HD dealer where I brought the bike did a download for the 1450 cc engine which caused back fires a lot when shifting. I take my bike to another HD dealer closer to where I live and they corrected it but now I get a really slow response when I hit the throttle and when cursing at 22k rpm I get soooooo much hesitation I can not stand it. How many times will I have to keep taking back my bike for a local dealer to get it right? Some of my local HD friends are telling me to get it Dyno but don’t feel like this will resolve my problem and I just got the damn bike 2 weeks ago. I now have 600 miles on it and still have the same issues.

Put it on a Dyno. I have an 05 SEFB, I put V&H Big Radius pipes on it and took it to the dealer for a down load. The bike runs great but I took it to an exceptional dealer( not the one I bought my bike from). Since you already have the race tuner, you may as well take advantage of the tunning capability.

Your friends are right. Get it dyno'ed. Otherwise, you are just chasing your tail trying different maps and settings, hoping it will work. Once it's dyno'ed, it should run great.
I'm sorta like Grover, you've got a 105 engine on the thing, it should have run like a scalded dog straight from the factory. Like the other guys said, at this point, probably a dyno is your best bet.
I don't know how you guys do it; buy a new bike, then when it doesn't run right, take it to another dealer. If I'm the second dealer, I think I'm not good enough to sell you a bike, but I'm good enough to work on it for you. I'm not finding fault, just saying I would be embarrassed to do it.
I bought the same bike (SEBF 2006), the dealer near me wanted a whopping $5K more than the dealer that is 29 miles away, so I bought it from the further away dealer. I plan to take to the close dealer for all my services. If they wanted to sell bikes they should have stayed at MSRP. Besides, it is not like the service is free, they are making money on all the services they perform, warranty or otherwise. They are more than happy to service any bike.
