Default A/C suggestions???

I am thinking of adding V&H true duals with fishtails, and a V&H FuelPak.........

Any suggestions on a good air cleaner that will work well and tune easily?

I am not planning on other power modifications.... is the stock one good enough?

I have a Kuryakyn Hypercharger that appears to work well although it was pricey and tends to push into your knee a bit...I have seen others post that Hypers are a bit of overkill....but hey, it looks fantastic!

any aftermarket will be better than stock - Screaming Eagle, Arlen Ness, all cheaper than Kuryaken and just as equally effective.

I'd have to vote for a K&N. My SE AC, black one, started to disengrate on the inside after 600 miles. Brought it back to the dealer and they gave me a K&N that they had left over from the days when they were installed as part of Stage 1. Can't tune it though.

Everything I've been told says you need to open BOTH ends for the engine to breath right and tune correctly. Any high-flow a/c will accomplish that when added to new pipes. You don't want to keep your stock a/c.

I went with the Arlen Ness Big Sucker that mounted easily behind existing football cover. K&N hasmodels that mount that waytoo. If you're not attached to your football cover, there are numerous options that satisfy V&H's request for a high-flow a/c to go along with any of their pipes andtheir FuelPak.

You will be VERY happy with the results of Stage 1 mods. If you already have synthetic oils in your holes, you'll also be very happy how cool your engine will run after Stage 1 is done!

Cheers!
