21,000 FOR AN 07 HERITAGE CLASSIC ? THATS PRETTY GOOD.
THE DAMN STEALER BY ME WANTED OVER 24,000.
THEY WERE 1,000 OVER MSRP, WANTED 700 FOR STEALER PREP, 750 FOR SHIPPING, 250 FOR PAPERWORK PROCESSING.ETC ETC.
BUT THEY DID SAY THEY WOULD GIVE ME 100.00 FOR MY WIFE TO SPEND IN THEIR STORE.. NICE GUYS, HUH?
I WENT WITH A BARELY USED 05 DELUXE AND LOVE IT..
I paid $16.2k for my 07 FXST with security sytem. The dealer dropped the freight and set up fees and charged MSRP plus tags tax and inspection. I also got $1000 store credit and free oil changes for life.
Hint- you can negotiate more money off the price of the bike if you tell em' you'll buy the extended warranty (money in their pocket). Get the bigger discount then return your extended warranty about two weeks later for a 98% refund. Don't wait to long to return the warranty because your refund is based on how much of it you used. Even though your bike comes with a two year moco warranty they count from the day you buy the bike when calculating you refund. I bought an 07 fxstb when they first hit the showroom and negotiated 1000 under msrp. Then I told them I'd buy the 1700 dollar, 7 year warranty if they gave me another 700 off the bike. They did. I returned the warranty about three weeks later and got 1650'ish back. Took a while to get the check but I think it was worth the hassle. Cashed the check and spent it on accessories. everybody wins.
ps. I know 1700 off is about an average deal these days, but I did this in Oct of 06' and dealers weren't budging much on msrp.
