cable lenghts for softail with apes
hey guys,
im putting 16" apes with a 1 inch rise on my deluxe. the bars are pudgy gimps from nash mc co. what lengths of cablesare my looking at ??

also i want to stay all black so what companys carry these items?

The Gimp size is close to the dimensions of the W0509 Chubby 16". The chubbly is slightly wider but the gimp has less pullback.

I have 13 inch rise bars on 1 inch risers. I went with +8 on the cables. Hope this helps

Drag Specialties carry black coated stainless steel lines, as well as goodrich for the brake lines, from Drag Specialties. It doesn't pay to guess for cables/lines unless you are in a hurry. Use some 16 gauge wire to measure length. Estimating will get you in the ball park, but if they are too long, they really look crappy on ape hangers.

BTW, I would use a 90 degree banjo on the mastercylinder, it will make the brake line follow the line of the bars.

I have 16"apes with 1" risers andhave +10 on all the cables.
