Definatly required wih some EFI controlers Like PCIII, SERT and the like,
Not needed with controllers like T/Max and Vance & Hines Fuel Pak

If you have a good dyno tuner, it's the best way to get the most out of your bike.

Agree with the other guys, if you've changed exhaust and breathers and have EFI, do it.

hey don't forget about us carb guys who might click this thread.

it is a def plus in getting the most out of a combo. weather it be just a/c and pipes,or in my case with a full on ignition.
some poeple doit once a year just as a preventative maintanance thing. wich is actually not a bad idea for a carb. withF/I its not needed every year, obviously the cpu will hold the program. but with a carb i could see it.

i had mine done when i did my exhaust and ignition and happy i did.

so in closing yes its def a good idea for a carb (for all us carbies) and like rockerhead stated, for F/I's it depends on wich tune u buy.

definately worth it! Just had mine custom mapped today and the difference is significant. Smoother and more responsive, and no off idle hesitation anymore. My local dealer damaged the USB port on my PCIII a while backwhile initially attempting to map it, and finally replaced my PCIII and gave me a free dyno run and custom map today. Well worth the $150 they normally would charge, and even better when it's FREEEEEEE...................

Why do you need a dyno tune with a PCIII and not the Fuel Pack, I thought they where pretty much are the same thing.
