Hi all. I have an 07 FXSTC with stage 1 and PCIII. It's been running great with the stage 1 since last December. I commute to work on the scoot most days. This morning, after riding at hwy speed for about 40 min, when I came to a stop for traffic, the bike's idle went down so low it stalled. It cranked back up, and I kept it revving (old style) at stops until I got to work. It performed similarly on the way home.
It seems when I go to zero throttle after a period at high RPMs it goes real low for an instant and then normals out. If I give it a small rev when I decel, it gets me through the period of low idle. It's still a pain though. Otherwise runs smooth, and this is the first problem. Only issue I know of is a 20 degree temp drop last night. I haven't changed the PCIII map at all. Any input????
Try different gas, from a different station and a different distributor. I've stopped using Valero (circle K and some other stores around where I live) gas stations and noticed a much steadier ride. Not sure who you have in VA, but run the tank out and try Shell, Mobil....
I've had the bad batch (diesel mixed in the Premium at the distributor) experience and it does sound like what your saying. If it performs worse cold than hot I'd say bad batch.
