Not long. I think it took longer to feed and tighten all of the hose clamps through the heat shileds. I had my wife guide the front pipe in once I has the rear one lined up. It just kind of fell into place. I was very lucky. I removed the floorboard as I think that allows you to angle the lower portion of the pipes away from the bike while lining up the exhaust ports.
I have a SE High Flow air intake. Will probablly replace with a K&N when the time comes.
FYI - I got my BS at American Classic Motors. They have an E-Bay Store. I paid $445 shipped. I ordered them on Monday, got them on Friday. Would definitely order from them again.
Yeah my PCIII is jammed in there pretty bloody tight.... (we all have the security systems in Australia as it wasn't an option not to get it)... Probably could have zip tied and mounted it under the cover in front of the back wheel... but pcIII will definitely fit on your bike under the seat Paul but it'll be tight as a fish's ****!!

When it comes time to install your fuelPak, you may not have the room you need to follow the directions. The security module installed in my bike made the ECU tray very shallow. I didn't have room under the seat to mount the FuelPak as prescribed in the V&H directions.
Once new pipes and air cleaner are installed, you MUST add a fuel manager to richen air/fuel ratio or run the risk of burning up your valves. Whoever told you a stock ECU could handle a/c and pipe changes is a dope. There is a stage 1 download that can get put into the stock ECU (maybe that's what they were saying), but I've heard numerous times on the forum that it gives you dissappointing results.
I would keep the ECU stock, add the FuelPak, and then enjoy the benefits.

Deano,
I pulled that cover off last night and I should be able to fit it in there without to much effort. [8D]
