I'm looking at bags for my bike and unsure whether to consider the Harley ones or not. I don't want to relocate the turn signals and looks like buying the Harley ones I would need to do that. Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations? Thanks, Larry
I'll chime in with my personal choice, www.leatherpros.com They are good quality bags, easily detachable, lockable, and when you take them off all you have are two bolts that are a little longer than stock. I didn't have to relocate my turn signals and that was one of my concerns.
Do a search and you'll find alot of different recommendations, iron bags, boss bags, etc. Good luck on your search.
My votes for Iron Bags. These are the Iron Thunder model. No turn signal relocation necessary. Enough room for a week long trip. Excellent quality and design.
Check out "Leather Pros".
I'm changing to the LP3200 on my Fatty.
I saw a Harley set made for the Custom and after they were installed the bottom angled out and looked kinda funny when viewed from the front and back. The bottom looked like it was 6" out from the side of the bike.
Hey guys, thanks for the replys! I like both bags but I think I like the lether pro ones for my particular application. I like the LP 3207 model. It looks like it is necessary to order thru a HD dealer--wish they could be ordered directly. ..was trying to find out about shipping costs but no way I can do that today. They look like good quality and good size. thanks again. Larry
I have an 06 Standard. When I bought it I had them put the 07 Custom seat on the bike.
I put the Harley Bags, Part #90130-00D on and DID NOT have to relocate my turn signals.
But, with the 07 Custom seat being so wide, the bags required a hardware kit that has spacers to bring the bags out as to not hit the seat. Hardware kit # 90573-07
Pic below...and have since changed the seat to a Mustang.
Hope this helps...ride safe
