That is where the receiver is for you winter remote start. The key fob starts the bike as you approach as long as you have left the bike in neutral with the left turn signal button having been pushed twice after the engine is turned off before the security II alarm system beeps. Or, itis the left side of the oil tank and is very expensive. Ken
