Dyno tuning
Got a 04 heritage with stage one kit. Does anyone think it would be a good idea to have it dynoed? Harley dealer said it would be a good idea and should improve performance and fuel economy. Any thoughts. Thanks for the input.
Dyno'ing is expensive but almost always improves performance if your dyno tech knows what he/she is doing. Anytime you change your airflow it is a good idea.
Harleys come from the factory running lean due to EPA standards. There are alot of adjustments you can make with a dyno. It would not be worth it if you don't have a Power Commander or Race Tuner though. You have to have one or the other to make the adjustments to your EFI while dyno'ing.

Louis,
I prefer the SERT (Race Tuner) over the PCIII Power Commander. That is a personal preference. That is on all EFI bikes if you want to be able to really tune them properly. I guess it depends on how many upgrades you have on your bike. I do know for sure that you don't want the Harley download. It is crap. For every one person on the forum that disagrees with me on this point there are 10 that agree.

I think that you should get a SERT or a PCIII. I personally got the SERT and I am very happy with it, I gained 8hp and 10 ft lbs of torque with it. it does cost a little money but in my opinion its worth it to have a properly tuned bike.
