I have heard nothing good, performance-wise, about the hypercharger. You want a radical air cleaner, I understand that Forcewinders not only look a bit nuts but also perform. I have no personal experience, though - I have K&Ns on all my bikes (Ducati/Harley/Norton/Triumph) and wouldn't consider anything else....

The Big Sucker looks good and performs well, but in the warm months it will fill up with bugs pretty quickly, especially in warmer, more humid, states like here in NC, and in rural areas particularly. The SE stage 1 breather is basically the same thing, just utilizes the football cover. Ican mount the a/c center cover directlyto the K&N filterI have under the stock football and have the same thing as the Big Sucker, with the option of putting the football back onas bug protection when the bugsare out (which is most of the time).I've seen days where I had to scrub the bugs out of my face after just a short ride to the store. Then there's the big juicy bigs that splatthe size of half dollars around tobacco fields.[:'(] And the June bugs that will cause concussions when they hit ya..........then there's the...yadda yadda yadda........[>:]

Bugs are a royal pain to clean, and what's worse is they taste like crap.

While we are on the subject of a/c's, I know the K&N RK-3909 will not fit the 08 touring models. I hear that it might fit the 08 softtails. Is anyone out there running this combination? This would be the last piece of the puzzle if it works.

I switched from a freeflowing stock A/C with KandN, to a hypercharger...I did it for looks, and my bike runs just as well as it did. You can always unplug the vacuum hose from the butterfly port (remember to plug the line to the carb) and the butterflies stay open...just sayin'...

A Hyper Charger does a great job complimenting a mullet and pair of pointy-snakeskin boots. It' kind brings back that old skoolme and my bike are still living in the 90's look even though I have an 80's haircut.
