I like the deeper sound - it also seemed to improve the low end

Just bought a set of BSS and ordered the quiet baffles to go with them. Pisses me off that you have to buy extra baffles and just can't order them in with what baffle you want. Anyway nice pipes and there sure is a lot of difference in the design between the regular and quiet baffles. Looking forward to the sound but first have to pick up some new exhaust gaskets before bolting them on.

I had the V&H BSS on my Deuce and now have the V&H True Duals on my Deluxe. In both cases, I ended up installing the quiet baffles. Not so much for "loudness" as for sound. IMHO the quiet baffles take the sharp edge off the sound and the end result is a lower and more mellow sound.

I installed the V&H True Dual setup, FuelPak and Stage I intakeon my '05 Heritage about a month and a half ago. I had put 21,000 miles on the bike with the factory pipes and intake. Changing over the the duals with standard baffles was somewhat annoying at first. I installed the quite baffles about 3 weeks later. I like the quite baffle a little better. It's still loud enough but the QB's took off the harsh edge. I don't have that slight ringing in the ears after a30 minutefreeway ride. Fuel mileage went from 41 avg with stock to 35 avg with duals and QB's. I changed the FuelPak settings as needed for the baffle change.

Also, I now have a vibration in the floorboards and handlebars. Not enough to notice much but it didn't used to be there (as stated before 21,000 miles on the stock setup). Andafter a 30 minute ride at freeway speed I'll start to get tingling in both hands and some in the feet. This tingling stays with me all day. Now thats annoying! Since the engine and pipes are bolted directly to the frame I'm beginning to wonder if the pipes are vibrating or something. Any ideas anyone?

Installed the quiet baffles today and the pipes sound real good. Good decision. Thanks for all the input.

The quiet baffles loosen up over time and get a bit louder, "maturity" might be a good word. At first I missed the totally obnoxious noise I could make, but did get some low end back and now the sound is nicely in the middle after about 6 months.

Get it dyno tuned with a PCIII for best results.
