My wife had a fairly heavy guage sewing needle I used to release the pins. I pushed it in the hole and kind of moved it about 'til the pin released. The first pinor two were more difficult until I got a feel for it.
Ok guys, I must be getting braindead on this. It says pull up on the D-Hole secondary lock about 3/16". What's the reason for this? Is this another lock to keep the pins stable? I would have thought you could just insert needle or tool into pin hole to release the pin. sorry for all this confusion, but just don;t want to start damaging stuff until I understand what's goin' on.
I just did mine a couple of months ago and there was not a secondary lock. There should be a rectangular rubber grommet that seals the back of the connector housing and is also handy for keeping thewiring in the correctschematic. I only had to insert the heavy needle into the holes and release the pins. The reverse was just pushing the pins back in until they clicked.
Look at the picture of the "side view" you posted.......the connector (black with 3 wires) should be your headlight connector. It DOES use the secondary lock, you can see on theright hand side that the female side has "ears" on the rear that you would disengage and flip the secondary lock up. The male side isblocked in the picture and you can't see it.The controls harness does not use that style. You release the ears (on the leftside, where the wires enter the connector) and slide that and the rubber seal back so that you can pull the wires one pin at a time. The only pin lock is disengaged through the small hole by each pin.

What year is your bike?
Because I have done four 2007 models and they are different from all other years.
They do have a primary and secondary lock inside the connector.
I would suggest d/l and reading the instructions I uploaded.
If you look at my pic, there's a black connector clipped into the Male Molex connector. There is no black grommet. As scotty indicated, you must have a diffenent model year. I'm sure all 07's are the way indicated in scotty's pic instructions.
Mine is an '07, and I have the correct service manual. Mine have the black plastic rear of the connector housing and there is a rubber seal I would guess to insure that they are watertight. I may be mistaken that the seal is black, it may be orange. There is no flip up secondary lock on mine or any other type of secondary lock unless you consider the rear of the housing as a lock.. There is on the headlight connector, but not the control harness connectors. If I mislead you with my experience in doing mine I do apologize.
I don't feel the need to follow Scotty's suggestion to d/l his instructions........as I said, I have the service manual and mine are done. I wish you success doing yours.
Good luck!

Service manual is all good but the picture for the molex connectors are from the electrical diagnostics manual that you obviously do not have.
I would suggest buying it before giving information out that can damage peoples electrical connectors.
The pins cannot come out of there holes no matter what size darning needle you used until the primary lock is lifted up.
I think you ar thinking of the outside latch.
