whats going on everyone. just joined, ordered my 08 fxstc while i am in iraq. dont get much time to spend on the pc but have spent a few hours looking around the site for some answers or pictures and cant seem to find them at this time. any help would be appricated.
1) has anyone ditched the gastank console and gone w/ a smooth top tank w/ a seperate speedo either tank mounted or bar mounted? i believe the fxstc has a 1in" bar but to be honest i havent had any luck finding anything.
2) anyone seen or know where i can get a 5.0 gal smooth top tank that is as close to the stock fat bob look? im going w/ the retro king and queen seat so trying to find something that would fit. i know RSD has a complete pkg that can be parted out but im haveing a hard time findng the parts on Drag Specialties and also finding the fuel cap on that tank.
3) a rounded rear fender something like the hartland usa Heartbraker. would anyone know if you can still use the stock seat w/ this fender or something close to it and if they just sell the fender w/o the seat and other jazz as it all racks up to like $2K when all i want is the fender.
My 08 Anniversary FXSTC isn't destined for chopping. I am adding a shirtload of chrome to the thing. By the time I'm finished chromanising the next space shuttle crew should be able to spot me on the road down under. As for changing the tank, instruments, and fender take a look at the HD website there are some really nice standard models that probably come close to what you are after. Cheers. Chris
