Howdy all! I've got some winter mods going and I've decided to piece together what I can afford of a chrome front end kit. Okay, on the Upper Fork Slider Covers on the '07 FLSTF their is a cutout so the fender doesn't hit. These Upper Fork Slider Covers don't have that cutout, but they "claim" to work on an '07 Fatboy. I've seen numerous ads elsewhere including the 07's.
Is this where common sense prevails and I just realize I can't have these for my application? What do you guys think about messing with them or not? I'd sure hate to smash up my front fender on a bad bump.
I justinstalled a chrome front end on my bike, but mine is an 06, and I don't know what the difference is between them. Check Ebay, I got the lower sliders, the upperslider covers, and the upper tinbehind the headlight for less than $300.
The 07 is different from the other years. Remember that the front is offset to the right as you sit on the bike about 1/4-1/2". So the fender will be closer to the right fork than the left. This left/right is all refered as you sit on the bike. So I would tend to think one that works on say an 06 would hit on an 07. Probably gonna hit on the right side. The 07 is unique as far as the front end goes and spacing.

I think it'd hit too.
i had this question a while back and for the 07's you need part numbers 48752-07, and 48753-07, these have the notch in them....
I've got this thread you reference bookmarked for future reference too. I was in denial about spending money on a part that wouldn't work. The $hitty thing is I realized it right after I submitted the order on ebay. I peaked out in the garage real quick and[:-] [:@] noticed the cowbells I just bought wouldn't work, even though they said they would. Stupid on my part. The seller, an ebay store hasn't answered my emails yet so who knows...
