Hi Nick....I really like my '06 fb....I rode all sorts of Honda's...Kawasaki's and Yamaha's....I decided that I wanted a HD...went to the dealership and it just so happened that a guy ordered a yellow pearl fb and I guess he got nervous or something and didn't go thru w/the purchase...the sales guy took me in the shop and there it was....all I said is....where do I sign! Best bike I ever had!!! And, what ebeattie is saying is true!!!
Bought a pewter peal 08 model.
Why Fat boy ; The name the fat rear tyre and beefy front and I like the shogun exhausts and everyone nows that a fat boy is a mean looking machine.
Also the wheels are much easier to clean.
Iwould much preffer twin stoppers on the front like the road king and a 1800cc motor, bigger the better but the stock 96 is very strong.
This is my 2nd Fatboy and I absolutely love it! I really love the Twin Cam96 Engine. Huge improvement over the Evolution. Go for it!!! You won't be disappointed! Handling is very good for a heavy bike like this one.
a test ride is what convinced me. I had ridden a Street Bob, RK and a Classic.... then they pushed out a Fat Boy. after 30 minutes on the streets - I was hooked. mine is the Black Pearl - too cool!!!
I did not test ride mine before I made the commitment. I know, maybe a little stupid on my part, but I have not been disappointed and have no regrets what so ever, well I regret not getting a FB sooner.
I love my Fatboy. It is more stable than agile. It handles well but not like a Dyna. Man does it have a nice solid feel to it. You won't regret it a bit.
