I never could figure out why companies do that.
Golf club makes (Callaway for one) does that so no matter where you buy it, it's always the same price.
WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL??? They still get their wholesale price, don't they?
Rush is still a great product......and great sound.
FYI, Rush is in no way "price fixing" as Dealers have the freedom to sell at any price they choose, they simply have an advertising policy that does not allow sellers to advertise below certain levels. The dealer can sell them for any price they would like.
I think I got in at the start of this fued with cyclespot and Rush. One of my mufflers blew the packing out about a week after I got it. I called Rush and the guy told me that if I didn't buy it from a Harley dealer he couldn't honer the warranty. He said they had an agreement with Harley to sell their pipes at Harley dealerships. That may have something to do with the pricing. Anyway, I called cyclespot and told them what they said, and Jim who I think is the owner, hit the roof. He called me back after talking to the Rush people, and said they had given him the same story and that he wasn't gonna carry their products any more. He sent me the packing out overnight that he took out of another muffler and I haven't had a problem since. Just some insight as to what may be going on.

My best bet is a sponsor here seen Cyclespot's price and flipped out . Perhaps we all better off not to post prices here on the board ? I always try to turn people on to a good place with good prices in the past .. I duno .

So Cyclespot can sell them on their website but can'tsell them under what Rushpermits. Sounds like price fixing to me.Just so I know, what IS thecorrect term for this?
I sell Rush mufflers, and never had a problem with their stuff or the company, actually they are probably the easiest company to deal with. Lots of other companies have this kind of policy and as I read it,it protects the good dealers.

I tried to buy mine from the local dealer and they said they don't carry rush. Bought the 1.75 slash downs from fuelmoto for my 07 Heritage and they sound great.
