Deuce is what i wanted but couldnt find when i bought my fatboy a few months ago. Hard to find a left over 07 on the showroom and i didnt want used. Oh well.
I always liked the Deuce and came awful close to getting one. However, I also like the concept of in with the new and out with the old, so I do indeed like the Rocker. Never saw one in person but from the pics, that is one sweet ride and it looks very custom. HD definitely has something that can rival bikes such as Big Dog or American Ironhorse and it's got an authentic Harley name plate on it. Only thing I hate about the Rocker is that retarted seat they gave it. So once that gets replaced, its a sweet ride. I also like the anodized look of the non Custom model of Rocker. Personally, if I were the execs at Harley, I would have called the Rocker Deuce II or just Deuce and marketed it with the same name. Not a fan of the Rocker name. I think they change names so in a few years they can make a new improved Deuce and market the hell out of it as the all new Deuce.
You need another choice. I wouldn't get either. I would get another sportster before spending the money on a rocker or a deuce.
Damn dude it's cool if you don't like either bike but NumberOne started this poll and wanted our opinions on two specific types of bikes. And last time I checked there is less than $500 difference betweenan '07softail Custom and an '07 Deuce MSRP, not to mention thatsporty's are nice fun bikes that gives you a feel like no other Harley--no need to berate them. Just my thoughts.
Well I just got me a 06 Deuce and I almost waited on a Rocker, only because I am going to achieve the same look with a deuce. The Rocker can be sexy, but that dam seat being seperated from the rear section just makes me go limp every time. If not for that, I would be riding one. It reminds me of a springer/chopper/softail/metric. Now if honda had come out with a bike like that, we would all be laughing at it. Time will tell as to how the public will feel about it. The Deuce just seems a more logical choice to make a chopper type bike from HD, but leave enough room for mods and a style of yor own. Many people just want a HD to ride around town a bit and look cool, or they just have too much money maybe. Those are the ones that would have cashed in on it.
