I'm obviously biased because I own a 02 Deuce. But the Rocker does look sweet (Except for the seat). The Deuce is also a One-off according to my Harley dealer
And you can see evidence of that when you shop for Softail parts. In many cases,
The (Except for Deuce) statement appears. Having said that, I would not trade my Deuce for anythingâŚ..
If the Rocker fits your taste and you think itâs the bike for you, buy it, ride hard and enjoy.
My first HD was almost a Deuce. Beautiful 06 in Black Cherry. "Almost" means I had the paperwork lined up, financing done, the works. At the last second I folded and went another direction. No regrets, just a lot of 'what if...' thoughts over the last couple years. Anyway, as things turned out, it was not to be, at least for me. However, the wife is now a new Deuce owner so we have one in the stable after all.
I think the Rocker has some unique attributes that make it a very nice bike. But given the choices, I'd definitely go for the Deuce.
We sold Thunder Mountain Motorcycles for a while at our shop,2 years ago they had a fender mounted on the swingarm of a softail with a similar seat without the passenger pillion option.
That bike sat there FOREVER! Funny how they add the HD name and people rant and rave about it. We also didthe Heartland 200 kit on many Dueces,IMHO that should have been the bike they should have copied.
I agree with this for now. But you can bet your bottom dollar there are going to be some major tricked out Rockers once they hit the showroom floors and custom parts are made. Despite whats being said, the Rocker has a lot of potential to do some cool looking things with it. And its a real Harley with a real Harley motor; not a custom with a standard S&S or Revtech motor. Not that they are bad, but it's a true Harley. Should be interesting to seewhat the future brings for this bike...
