Default highway pegs

Hi Everyone

I am bit of a newbie to this site but I do like looking through every so often and reading.

I have a 07 Heritage Custom, this is my 2nd Harley. I had a 99 Softail Custom before.
I am 6,3 in height and so I am long legged. Iput 3inch drop downs on my front pegs on my 99 model.
Now with the floor boards I keep going to stick my legs forward and find it tricky with the brake and gear levers in the way.
I see plenty of Harleys with what I call crash bars and pegs added to them for the highway peg option. I am not a big fan of this look to be honest.
I have seen at my dealer a chrome set of what I would call highway pegs. there is an arm that bolts on to the frame just under the foot borards and goes forward and then you put your own choice of peg on to match. I havenot seen anyone else with these on.
If you have what I am talking about I'd like to see pic's and have your comments.

regards from Down Under

Check out this thread. I have gone in depth a few times about how to get more room out of the floorboards. https://www.hdforums.com/m_2471511/tm.htm

I think you are talking about these:

They worked fine but I wanted to keep my legs lower.
It seems I had to have it pretty high to get my foot over the brake pedal.
So I have since went with Kuryakyn Mark III's with Harlie Goodies floorboard extentions.

Hi Les and Chris
Thanks Guys for your info.
The kuryakyn Mark 111 are what I was talking about.
Looks like you have to do the floorboard extention also. They did not tell me that at the dealership.

Appreciate your comments and pic's

regards
Phil

You don't have to do the floorboard extension with those arms... they (and I) just did it to get more leg room.

Phil
My dealership doesn't know a thing about floorboard extentions for a softail.
That was one of the 1st questions I asked them, too.
I am very thankful so what I've learned here on the forum.
