I have been using a Garmin quest for about a year now both on 2 and 4 wheels. It is a bit smaller and has less memory than the more expensive Garmins but I love it. Mine came with a RAM mount for the bike, the kit for the car and maps of Western Europe and the UK and Ireland.
The great thing is that its waterproof (believe me I have throughly tested this aspect!) and has a battery life of 20 hours so if you fit it to the bike you don't have to worry about wiring it to the battery (although you can if you want with a RAM kit).
Like all these bits of technology, it takes a few weekends to figure out how best to use them but I am really happy with the Quest.
