CONGRATS! As for break in It seems like a P.I.T.A. but if you slowley acelerate and slowly decelerate without excededing 3500 RPM for the first 500 miles your bike will run real strong! So in any gear wher you wont excede the speed limit (too much) slowly roll on the throttle onand then roll off. Never ever keep the RPM constant. Some people (cagers) may give you some strange looks as you pass them and the they pass you and then you pass them and then................. You get the idea. I have broken in many V-twins this way and they all ran real strong and trouble free. Remember Good Advice costs nothing and sometimes it's worth the price!

Congratulations on the new bike but now you've gone and done it. I bought my first Harley a little over a year ago and just HAD to buy a brand new one a couple of months ago. This is a very expensive habit.
