ok i gotta ask it. we have all heard this--you will get flat spots on your tires during extended layup times(thats called winter to you california and florida guys lmao)if you dont move your bike. any truth to this?

Yes and no.Yes.... Bias ply tires on heavy vehicles will get flat spots form sitting. They go away after you get the tires hot. No, not really on bikes due to their lighter weight. If you do get flat spots they will ride out also. Just keep your tires pumped up and you won't have to worry about getting flat spots.

winter here is between January 28th and February 10th......

IMO: any tire (bike, car, truck, trailer)will develop flat spots if allowed to sit over an extended period of time. on this forum, I've read that guysstore their bikes on jacks....... sounds like a good plan.

It may help if you air the tires up, to their maximum rated air pressure, if you are going to store it for a long time.
