does anyone have any cool brake rotor pictures, for my fatboy. and any comments on them. i havent ordered any in yet, not sure if i want polished ss or chrome. i am looking at these ones.... partscanada.com sells them. any help would be great.
Before you buy, make sure you check out ebay for some really killer deals on rotors. In the next couple weeks, I'll be picking up a set of rotors, pulley, and hardware for $325. These are polished rotors, a billet chromed rear pulley, and chrome mounting hardware.
BTW I think the stock Harley rotors are the most ugly looking things they could have put on them, and seems to be the most over looked upgrade people do not install. Just a simple rotor change can really make a difference in the bikes looks.
Maybe it is just me being old fashioned but I don't mess with brakes. HD has some upgrade rotor/discs of the floating variety that I may invest in but not sure about aftermarket stuff. Especially stuff made in Italy.
Don't go for the chrome rotors. If you actually ride the bike, the chrome will wear off. If you have to have the shiny look, get the polished SS rotors, and make sure they are at least 420 series, and properly hardened.
The rotors you are looking at are good ones; Braking is an excellent company. Note that you'll have to replace your calipers with these rotors, as the stock calipers won't work.
i didnt realise i had to change my calipers for these rotors to work. what kind of calipers will i be needing? i dont have the stock black calipers on my bike now, i have chrome ones, they are similar to hd ones. but they are aftermarket.
