I went 16". I had 14 wild one chubbies, but gave them to my wife. Most have started smaller and ended up going bigger, as long as you don't go over 18". I am 5'6" and have a longer torso, I am just above shoulder height (hand position).

I went black, since my bike is black.

If you go chrome, you could always powder them later if you change your mind....

i've got a 96 softail cu(WG) . I want (and love) the apes. My ? is, I have 4" risers and want 16" apes, What lenth cable do i need? I have drag bars on rite now, but rode my buddy's road king w/16apes on it and loved it, i'm sold. Also how hard is it to internally wire these bars yourself? or is it better to have someone else do it for you? thanks.

Not a fan of apes.I cant see how they could be comfortable or safe and it just doesnt do it for me on a Heritage or a Deluxe.

Having said that i know most people that have them love them. The set that GMoney has on his look killer, they are LA Choppers ***** Fckers 16's.
