Im planning a long ride in the near future and need to purchase a windshield for my 08 Fatboy. Got a buddy with a Roadking that has a new one he never used. Will it fit on my Fatboy? and will I have to get a specific mounting kit for it? He wants $100 bucks for it so I think I can save a few bucks.
The mounting kits would be different. The bolt pattern on the side of the forks are different between the FB and RK. Not sure about the windshield attaching to the mounting hardware.
The mounting brackets are different on the fatty. You need the spacers but if you are an expert DYI you will not have a problem fitting it. I have a flamed road king shield on mike and it works just fine. It just needs a gentle push to get in and out but all is ok
