It would work if you want to buy the Kuryakyn silver bullet turn signals or some other aftermarket brand which uses 5/16-18 threads. I'm fairly certain the threads on your/my stock turn signals are 5/16-24.
I used part #320-186 from J & P Cycle on my 05 Fatboy. It's just a simple "L" bracket that mounts to the fork. I believe others on this site have done the same.
i used some studs that i made fron all thread i bought a hardware store with some chrome nuts. just screwed the studs into the fork and used the chrome nut to tighten. (spent less then 5 bucks). for the rear i moved mine in with a signal mount off a ironhorse.about 10 bucks.. wish i could post pictures, but cant at this time..........kerry
