You guys (and gals),are insane !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! some of your mods are rad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have no hugs plans for mods on mine except a few goodies here and there... I can tell you this, my Heritage has one thing no other bike i have ever owned has ,and that is comfort. Never could find the right seat for my last bike which was a BOB.... Loved the bob. but even withthe sundowner seat... pain set in pretty fast.. Not on my Heritage... i do want to change the passenger pillion to a studded harley one.. Where can i get one at a good price . btw ?
I bought a studed 14" studded wide one from Harley for $150.00. My wife with the delux size rear loves it.(Thank the lord she doesn't read this forum)

I mean the 80.00 studded pillion that goes on the back.... looking for a good deal on one.
Marsh,
I imagine that you're right. I think the only difference is the length of the exhaust which may or may not be a factor. In any event, it would be a miniscule difference that I doubt could be felt.

Nails, you know what its like, always a work in progress. Those damn photos you posted has got me thinking about white grips and white seat, even some white B&B repro bags.Aaaargh..........
From what you are describing, it sounds to me mlike you might want to consider a bagger, a Road King or similar. It will be easier n your bad back with the air ride suspension, has bags, windshield. You can easily set the bike up for your height. I have an RK standard, slammed 1-1/4' in the back only. My wife, 5'5" has no problem handling this. Just something to consider.

Yeah...but then he'd be riding a touring bike. I have two touring bikes that collect dust. They are boring compared to the softails. Comfy, yes; but if it's comfort your seeking, take the car...better yet, buy a convertible. Hell, if your that big of a wuss, stay home. Its one thing to get a comfy seat, and a good set of bars. It's another to seek to replicate the experiece of sitting in the lazy-boy in the family room. Cruise control...are you kidding me. I have owned 4 touring bikes with it, and I've yet to ever use it. Now i'm rambling on again. One last thought; I've said this before, touring bikes are for guys that mentally are old farts.
