No i already have pipes and AC done.

They want $3500 for the BB kit and cams installed. Plus the cost of a SERT and tuning time.
DUH...I guess if I had paid attention to your sig I would have seen you already have the pipes and AC.

Wow...I would'nt have thought it would have been that much difference there in Canada.

Have you checked into getting a U.S. dealer to do it for you? Seems it may be worth the trip?
I don't know about the feasibility of doing it but it's just a thought.

I have aSERT, but I've seen from others on here that swear by the T-max and PC, so you may want to consider those toreduce the tuning cost (higher initial cost, but is offset by not having tuning cost). The thing with the SERT is you need to wait until after the break-in to tune it. If I understand correctly, the T-max and PC tune themselves.

Thats true... I dont want to go with the PCIII due to the elimination of the O2 sensors.

TMax is highly frowned apon for warranty issues especially when i have 7 years and unlimited mileage left! lol!

So that leaves me with the SERT. Even though its a bit ancient in its interface and software. It will do everything and more I will ever need it to do

Wow.....that's expensive. I've got the quote from my local dealership (Oklahoma City)- $1714.19 for parts and labor. This doesn't include the A/C, because I've already got a SE Heavy Breather. Also, it doesn't include a SERT or tune, because I'm probably going to do a PC III instead.

That IS expensive. I got the SERT, Vance & Hines BBS, A/C, the big bore kit to 103 and 4 hours of dyno time for approx $2,500. I thought it was a fair deal. HUGE difference in bike performance!

Yeah that is a good deal. Canadian Dealers are famous for charging up to 40% more than US even though the dollars are worth the same.

I am riding coast to coast this coming spring (vancouver to halifax) so it might have to be a "next fall" project.
