Well, I didn't make a sound clip while mounted on my 2003 FatBoy, but for a while the stock mufflers (drilled out with no baffles) were used before the 'old version' SE2 mufflers were installed.
I can say that although not nearly as 'loud' as the SE2 mufflers, the drilled out stock mufflers had a very good tone.. Much better tone without the baffles, but not so loud that you had to worry about being pulled over or anything like that....
