RE: trying to put in new gas cap on fule gauge side
do this mod to all my bikes, you need to remove or lift the tank so you can access fuel gauge wire connector pull the connector then remove the plastic end so you can slide the wires back up through the tank. What I use to hold the cap in the tank are two radiator hose reducers of correct size and will work just fine.
