Default Passenger Footboards

I know this might be a stupid question, however I'm going to ask anyway. I just purchased Passenger Footboards and mounting brackets for my 2007 Softail Heritage Classic FLSTC and for some reason I cannot seam to get the things straight. Both sides seem to be on an slight angle forward. Wondering if there's a trick orif I'm missing something. Thanks and any Help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mine wanted to do the same thing. Try loosening the the bolts a little, turn the floorboards back to were they are headed up hill and then retighten bolts. IT took me a couple tries to get them right. I would post a pic, but I can't figure out how to make the file smaller.

Is that a "Signature" seat from HD?

If so, how does it feel and did it change your riding position?

Thanks.

PK,

I live in Michigan and just put it on, so I have not had the opportunity to test it yet. I did ride it around the block and you seem to sit a little higher, not extreme, but the backrest is awesome. It is the Heritage Softail Classic seat and has the matching conchos (link Below).

That's odd. I just took mine off to put the saddlebag guards on and then went right back on straight as original.

Can't see how this is happening. The floorboard mounting can only go over the hexagon shaped lug one way. The screw on the mounting fits in a groove on the lug so you have to take it all the way out to get the mounting over the lug.

Seat looks awesome. I can see a backrest in my future.

I think it's rather odd myself. I'm going to swap the left and right brackets and see it it makes a difference. I've already tried just swapping the floorboards. Thanks on the seat compliment.

Is the top point on the hexagon mounting lug pointing vertically. If it is then the board should automatically be flat. If it's canted to one side or the other something is wrong with how you have the brackets mounted.

gkuypers, I was thinking of adding passenger floorboards to my bike as well. I hope you don't mind me asking you what part number the floorboards are. Did you also have to purchase brackets, mounting hardware, etc. Thanks.
