Default Custom Paint

I am coming up on the first birthday of my bike. I purchased an 05 standard under the idea that I could modify and upgrade to exactly what I wanted. I have added seat, exhaust (V&H Big Radius), windshield, and some chrome. Now I am at a point were I am thinking about a custom paint job. The bike is Chopper Blue which is a color that I am fond of. This provides me the luxury of finding the right type of paint job and most of all the right person. Can anyone share a ballpark price for a custom paint job? What should I be looking for beyond the sample pictures at a paint shop? Are there any specific brands of paint that are better than others for durability? Any ideas or feedback would be helpful.

If anyone has a shop in the DC, MD, VA area they would recommend please do.

Give this guy a call, he is in Boonsboro,MD just north of Frederick,MD. You can check out his work at Patriot HD in Fairfax,VA they have him do custom paint jobs on new bikes and then sell them as a custom. From what I've seen he does pretty nice work and I am thinking of having him do my 04'Fatboy.

As for the gost flames, Any good body shop should be able to do that for around that price.
A real slick "custom" job is going to cost $$$$.

I am having my fat bob tanks powdercoated white....these guys will paint the rear fender and then do a really cool old school Von Dutch style pinstriping job on the fender and tanks for $500.

I agree with this guy. My local dealer carries there stuff and it is sick. You can also look on ebay and find some of the HD Radical paint schemes for pretty cheap. I got mine for a good price on there and have since seen my paint set sell for alot less than I paid.

Have to agree with Old Skool. Airea5150 did my paint. The paint is unbeleivable and the owners, Scott and Karen are the best.
