Seen my 1st one today. Surprised how small it was. Still not sure what the little metal studs are for hanging, down from the front pegs. Liked the look of the oil tank, colored frame, the rear femder. Disliked them using the Duece take [It looks likeone or a real close copy], why not do a whole new bike from front to rear? Looks like they cut the Duece from behind the trans and just reskinned it. But thats my thinking on it, like it from the front of the seat back.
I think the rocker looks pretty cool--as long as that strange passenger seatis folded away. Funny, all the talk of using it for picking up closing time tail at a bar.....you would need to be drunk to pull out that seat in the first place!
That tricked out is definitely the best I've seen ... But if I'm $30K into a bike, I want more than that to show for it. It is funny to see people make this a personal argument. Steve's comment about someone elses opinion being invalid because they ride another model (in this case an '07 Duece) is pretty laughable. It's just a matter of taste, which is by its nature subjective.
Personally, I've never been crazy about the Duece, or any baggers I've seen. But I respect that others love them, and that's good enough for me. I like the FXSTS, so that's what I bought and continue to buy. To each their own.If someone wants to donate a Rocker to me, I'm cool with that. I wouldn't buy one, but I'd take itfor aspin now and then to keep things lubricated.
OK, I'm going to steal this thread for a moment so that I can say.....
Hey Mike,
I just took a look at your 'muscle' web site. That is a nice looking springer. It's not my style of bike, but neither is the Duece, and, so, I guess I don't care much for the Rocker (although, I understand the Rocker supposed to handle fairly well, to be discussed later). But, yours is tastefully done and the whole package is there. I do admire a ride when a bike looks well balanced and classy. It looks great! Good eye candy!
