Alright gang, you are all so helpful on this site, I am looking for a part that I can not find. I need a set of Fender Tips that fit a Softail Deluxe.. NOT a Harley Part, as they are cheap plastic, and really don't look good. I don't want the side rail that comes on the Stock bike.
Getting the painting done now, and really need to find something to dress it up a bit. No one seems to make any that fit the Deluxe..I called Kury, Eastern Performance, JP, and Drag...No luck.
I don't have an idea either, but if you don't mind, I'd like to piggy back on this post. I would like something for my front fender that looks the same down the side of the fender as the stock piece, but without the large chrome piece with the bar and shield up front... maybe something identical to the sides that continues all the way around. I'm attaching a picture with the part I'd like to get rid of.
have any of you thought of losing the triem pieces totally?
It cleaned up mine nicely
Yeah, thats whjat I am doing for the time being. While I personally LIKE the look without the trim, this is not my bike...it belongs to the wife, and she wants chrome lol.. Tins are at the painter now, will come back with no holes, and no trim. Hopefully, she will like the look once she see's it.
I have thought about losing the trim pieces. I will probably end up ditching the whole front piece, but I think I'll keep the "Deluxe" badge.I just removed my tank badges, so that will be the only factory badge left.
I think J&P have a tip to fit the FLST fenders. It looks a lot like the tip in the earlier post, but designed to fit the fully valanced fender our scooters have.
