tachometer poll. with or without?
First bike I've had without one , four years now and don't really miss it . I don't really care for the look on the bars and like you don't want to spend the bucks for the tach / speedo combo .
My Harley is not a RACE bike so exceptfor the rare occasion, I don'tget near the redline . Maybe close in first and second gear shifts - but not often , so I see no personal need for a tach in my style of riding .

I prefer it off, it gives it a cleaner look! Get used to how it sounds and feels and you will never have to look it! if you insist on a tach that does not ruin the looks try www.speedwayinstruments.com
I want a tach for my NT. That one is a bit too large. I am looking into a smaller one that will mount on the left hand side of the bar. My opinion only ofcourse...
I voted to take it off.
The mere fact that you are asking, means you really don't like the way it looks either.
Sticking up there in the air all buy itself like it does.

I like the clean look too, why not install the speedo/tacho combo?
My next donation to Chicago HD dealer will be a split combo and the low profile console and the pop-up fuel caps and.......

Make it clean. The thing I hated most about the FXDX I owned was the mickey mouse ears on the handle bars!
You have a rev limiter and it looks so much better without the tacho - IMHO!
