Default Ape Hangers

I joined this group because I'm throwing around the idea of swappin' out my drag bars for a set of ape hangers....I'd like to see some good photo's of a Springer with apes before I commit...(there's so much to choose from)....and the drag bars suitmy biketo a tee....But I got a long ride ahead of me this summer (Northern Manitoba Canada to Milwaukee) and I don't want to be numb from the waist up once I get there...I'm just worried that there not going to suit my bike?...Any info would be welcomed.

This is my beast...and yes....that is a functional Nitros bottle (strapped down beside the seat)!!!

VV,
That is a nice lookin' bike you got there. I'm definitely a big fan of apes, but I would have to say don't. Not sure if your bike would look good with apes...I'm diggin' the drag bars on yours.

Just my .02 cents.

That bike's hot man, I'dleave it alone personally. With the rear fender resting low on yourtire like that...reallyforms a nice line from the T bars to bobbed fender. Im thinkin the apes through that line out....IMOP. Either way though thats a bad bike Man....good luck.

Oh yea can you tell me what pipes those are? I thinking samson outlaws but would like to know for my winter mods...those 2 are bad. Thanks

That's one bad asslookin' bike.
I think apes would look perfect on it.

Why don't you ask the guys to photoshop a picture for you.
Those guys are amazing and it would give you a btter idea than anybody else's bike picture.
https://www.hdforums.com/forumid_304/tt.htm

Give them a picture and what size you are thinking about.

Nice looking bike, Vinny.

Here is mine with 12.5 inch apes. She is still a work in progress...I am getting some good ideas about things I want to do from looking at all the scoots on this site.

The only problem I have found with the apes is that, without a windshield, your body becomes one big wind sock with your arms up and out in front like that. Seems that way to me, anyway. It can wear on you on a long ride. I am thinking of swapping out seats to something that will provide a little more low back support to help counteract it. I don't remember near the same amount of wind pressure trying to push me off of the back of the bike before I put these on. Other than that, I love them...the hand position is great for me and I dig the look.

Thats a bad *** bike you got there. I wouldnt touch a thing, everything goes together like it is. I think apes would look out of place on your bike since you have that whole pro street look goin.

P.S.- How doI post these pictures like you guys did?
I've been playing around with with this for most of the day,
and the best I can do are these stupid little thumbnail pictures!
According to the "rules" I'm still well under the 500KB size?
HELP!!!! What am I doing wrong?
