Durango to Albq, 227 miles on the same tankful.
I just got in my stubborn "I need ta know" and "Damn the torpedos, full steam ahead!" mindset and figured I could make it w/o refilling!
My buddies thought I was nutswhen I didn't fill up in Cuba, about midway. They thought I was REALLY nukkin' futz (they are correct!)
when I didn't get gas in Bernalillo, about15 miles short of Albq.
When we stopped in Albq, Icrammed in 4.5 gallons. Hmm, 50 mpg, haulin' ***, 85-90 mph, on a slightly modified bike carryin' a load of crap.
I was happy. Now I know.
I will NEVER do that again...
