G'day POKJWS, I have a '07 Night Train withblack HD inverted forks, Fournales rear air shocks, V&H Shortshot Staggereds and Fuelpak.
With the Shortshots I have just swapped out the standard baffles to quiet baffles. You get aquality exhaust note, not tinny and you recover the lost hp and torque you lose with straight through pipes (read - standard baffles). And although they're called quiet baffles the level of the exhaust note is very pleasing,I woudn't consider swapping back to standard baffles.
There is a thread on here somewhere discussing the positives using V&H quiet baffles.
