Not only will the 01 have a carb but they actually use normal socket head bolts on most things so easier to work on your self.
I personally like new bikes. Had a few and I think nothing else would do.
Take the 08 and th 01 for ride and see the difference. Maybe Ya bum can decide for U while Ya heads still crunching figures.
