I already have stage 1, with K&N filter and V&H BSS pipes. I got it dyno tuned as well, so I really dont think im going to need to re tune but well see. MY pay pal for the pipes just went through and got an email that said pipes and fishtail tips will be here in 2 weeks. I hope that it doesnt take that long.
Thanks for the comment on the sound. I would say the V&H don't sound as deep as the Roadhouse did, it was increadibly deep & bassy. I did do the install myself. As I have a 2005 but have added a Terry's terminal velocity EFI system I had to weld in an O2 sensor bung. Then I had the head pipes ceramic coated in silver. So far I am very happy with the V&H pipes. Fit & Finish are fantastic!
Ceramic coating the head pipes keeps a lot of the heat in the pipe not radiating out cooking me in the summer sun. The hotter the exhaust gasses the faster the exhaust gas velocity, better performance. No blueing, no rust. The rumble of the exhaust is definatly improved by the cam install.
Decisions .... I like the look of the true duals myself and was thinking of going that way. However, I went with D&D Fatcats 2 into 1.
I'm possibly going crazy, but the idea of having another Harley withtrue dualson it.... sounds outstanding! .....
er,hmmm, I guess I will have another beer ! LOL
Luxe thanks for the ceramic coating info. Since you went from a 2-1 to duals did you notice any significant change in performance? One reads a lot on this forum about the advantages of a 2 into 1 system. I also have a Terry's EFI module...did you find that it compensated well for your change?
