I don't know about the Kuryakyn gauge, but I just installed the flush mounted HD fuel cap and gauge and love it. It looks totally chrome until you start the bike up, then the led's light up on the fuel gauge. Check out both views. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
We installed the HD flush mount fuel guage (and filler cap) on my wife's Heritage last spring. We are on the third LED flush mount fuel guage in less than a year. The LEDs just stop working. Never really know how much fuel is left because she never knows if all the lights are working. Sometimes with a full tank of gas only 4 LEDs will register instead of seven. Sometimes 5 will light up and at other times all 7 work. Hope you have better luck than we have had with the HD fuel guage. (I will admit it looks great that is why we put it on. She just don't rely on the guages accuracy...have to use the odometer (tripometer) method for determing when it is time to get gas.)
I put one (Kuryakyn fuel gauge) on my 2003, very easy... shouldn't be much difference in the 2007 install....by the way I installed mine 2 1/2 years ago and it still works great...
would buy another one..
Have HD flush mouned fuel guage and all lights work. Lights show low fuel when I still have over 1 gallon left but the original fuel guage with low light did the same. Supper easy installation.
It will work on the fatty and it is the same process with the HD OEM part, I would go for the OEM part if I had to do it again. It looks much better on the bike
