Default RE: Disapointed in the Rockers...

I just put my Rocker in for 1000 mile service yesterday and couldn't be happier with the bike. Those complaining about the seat need to check that the passenger pad is stowed correctly. Mine was upside down the first day I rode and it was uncomfortable. As long as the cushion side of the passenger seat is stowed toward the rider seat there is no problem. I have ridden mine up to Dothan, AL, a 2 hour ride, non-stop with no discomfort. I have had only positive comments on the bike and it is a blast to ride. The more I ride it the more I want to ride it.Its like somebody said in this thread, every bike that comes off the showroom floor is changed to suit the owner. That's why the aftermarket parts and custom Harley stuff sells like crazy. It seems like most of you who don't like the Rocker only like the traditional looking Harleys. The Rocker is different. It was meant to be. I could have got a Fat Boy or standard Softail and had a bike that looked basicallythe sameas my '85 Wide Glide. The Rocker doesn't look like any other bike and that'sa good thing. Say what you want, I like mine and would buy it all over again. Harley has a winner here.

I would be interested in renting a Rocker and putting a few 100 miles on it. I would like to see how it preforms.

I agree why all the bad mouthing the rocker I have one on order and I still want it. I think its different and thats why im getting it. I want a chopper stye bike wihout the cost of high end chopper and the company to back it up. People buy bikes for different reasons and people have different tastes. I think the rocker suits its purpose and I love it.. As for the welds I looked at 3 different rockers a C and 2 standard rockers swing arms and i didnt notice any meat ***** hanging so it must be just a few but believe me im gonna check mine over! Like all harleys you gotta fix them up they are all starting points. Still working on my other two. thats my 2 cents worth

I agree with you, I wanted the chopper styling and with the Rocker you get that and Its a Harley. No problem with the welds on my bike. The finish is perfect on all surfaces and the chrome is super quality.

I agree. I've had my Vivid Black Rocker C for a month now and I like it more now than the day I purchased it. I still make trips out to the grarage just to look at it. I have 300 miles (still cold and rain/snow here in VA) and I have not had any problems. Look forward to putting some new pipes and hitting the road this summer.

I never seen a harley I hated. SomeI just like better than others.
I like rockers, but they just weren't for me hence the Boner.

I got to wsee the Rocker C at the store today. Man, I like the looks ofg it in Black and Chrome. Both bikes were outside, and there was some space around them, and my opinion of them has changed significantly. At first I hated them. Then, once I saw them outside, under a tent, they looked totally different. Rocker C is sweet looking, and the seat thing is pretty trick, IMO.

Bets of luck to anyone who gets one. I think when you start seeing hem on the streets, that maybe they'll look different than they do when they are cooped up.

You should take note that I said I was "disapointed" with the Rocker and that it didnt suit my "Taste"...

I don't like the riding position
I don't like the way the seat bracket looks on the C
I dont' like the way the seat looks
I don't think it's actually vivid black but more of a black pearl
The red pinstripe is actually filled in with another color which makes it 3 colors total which isnt as clean as I wanted it

Overall, the flow of this bike didnt suit me...That's all...

I think a lot of us had high expectations and just got let down...That's what happens when you hype a bike for almost a year before realeasing it to the public...Take for example the Cross Bones...No hype, they just realeased it...
