Just make sure to torque them properly and you will be fine, your not going to warp anything doing them 1 at a time and no heat cycle. Gaskets should be fine as they cant shift or move.
Bolts are great, but they can rust if you don't get a top quality set. I opted for hot toppers. Cost a LOT less and look great IMHO! Problem with hot toppers is taking them off can be a PITA.
I did my engine and trans with the Gardner Westcott builders kit. Its amore complete set and has a better quality finish than the Harley kits i've seen. I did it one at a time with loctite and a torque wrench.
Now for a question of my own. Has anyone replaced the crankcase bolt behind the rear cylinder by cutting the old hex bolt out and replaced it with an allen head with out removing the primary cover and inner cover? Don't know if the bolt will slide in the hole and clear the primary case due to the smaller head size of the allen.
