Default windshield question?

hI,JUST AFTER BUYING A NEW FATBOY AND NEED A WINDSHIELD,I'M GOING TO GET A MEMPHIS SHADES QUICK RELEASE TYPE,THEY OFFER 2 TYPES OF HARDWARE TO WORK WITH OR WITHOUT PASSING LIGHTS,IF I GOT THE HARDWARE FOR THE PASSING LIGHTS WILL IT WORK WITHOUT THE LIGHTS AS I MAY DECIDE TO BUY LIGHTS AT A LATER DATE AND DONT WANT TO HAVE TO BUY NEW HARDWARE FOR THE SHIELD THEN?OR WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO MODIFY THE HARDWARE FOR THE LIGHTS TO WORK WITHOUT LIGHTS AT THE MOMENT,IS THERE MUCH OF A DIFFERANCE IN THE 2 KITS?
THANX.......

I would contact them directly. They were very helpful for me on information on a bracket they hadn't even released.

Just get the Harley Shield. They will answer your questions. And it works really well. Almost instant detach / re-attach.

Well just put one on without the light kit today. I went and looked at the one for the HD light kit and the bracket would be ok but the bolts are to long for the bottom mount. This is to compensate for the light kit mounting hardware. So you could still get that one just get shorter cap screws. I actually mounted my turn signals to the bottom of my bracket using some threaded rod and a chrome spacer and it came out well. I was waiting to see if they would come out with this kit and low and behold they did. I like the quick release setup. Dennis Kirk has photos of the 2 different kits if you want to check it out.

I'll post photo's of mine tomorrow if it stops raining.
