UseBehr gloss black latex house paint on it. It seems to work best in that application....J/K..Have you thought about having it powdercoated?

hey man, either get it powder coated, or buy a rattle can of that 500 degree header paint. shoot that on there and you should be good to go. any napa carries it. lots of folks do that to their pipes. OR surf ebay for a night train wrinkle black one, or a street bob.

Hey wpgmbhd just cruizin around the site and found your post about painting the primary cover. Since the post is a few weeks old, i wondered if you had painted it yet. I intend to do the same thing to mine but withsilver to improve the satin finish that has some dull spots on it from where i got some heavy duty cleaner on it.
I am going to try high heat paint on it. Some have suggested barbeque paint and i know it works as ive used it before on my hot rod headers with good results. The primary should not reach anywhere near the temps of the exhaust pipes. I'm not sure yet how to prep the cover (ie sand it a bit to roughen it up) or just paint right over the satin.
Ok, well let me know how it worked out for ya.
Cheers from one canadian rider to another.

I have wrinkle black stuff I will sell from my Nightrain. It was taken off when my bike had 200 miles on it. I have the outer primary cover, horn cover, coil cover, and air cleaner. PM me if your interested.

Hey voodoochild, I decided to leave it alone for now, Ipainted the bike with apearl grey ghost flame jobover the black and it actually picks up off the satin primary, may just purchase a chrome primary so I can switch them out for different looks.
