I've got one. Preordered when I got the bike, but I didn't get the extender. Thought there was something wrong when I picked the bike up. This thread just told me what. Got it on order now.
If you get the toolkit, get the liner too. Makes things better. Unless you get the preformed toolkit. I have one I put together myself. hdforums is cool that way. Learn something new every day.
Don't know if I should be here in the Softail section. Sold my 92 FXSTC and bought 07 Street Glide........ should of kept it, one heck of a bike. I had them on both sides, worked out well for me, tools in one side, extra glasses etc in the other. I liked how they looked too, but thats just my opinion.
I got one and I intend to put little things in there, like a digtal camera, gloves, etc. My brother has one on his softail, and its actually filled with tools. He got that zippered insert case, and I'm surprised that it doesn't rattle or make any noise.
I've got them on both sides of my 07 Heritage Classic. Harley makes one specifically for the right side but for the left one I used the one that says it fits 05-07 FLST. It doesn't fit unless you can do some drilling, cutting and adjusting. It did fit after an hour or so of messing with it and I think they look great. It fills up the empty space in front of the bags. I had them on both sides of my 99 Heritage and kept tools in both sides. Had to do it to the new one. Be aware though that any barrel key will open them.
I have one on the left side, but knowing what I know now I would have put it on the right. Easier to access. It's good for small stuff when I don't have my bags on.

A friend of mine had them on his '87 Custom, then left them on when he traded it for his new King. Wish I would have known I was buying a softy. I probably could have got his for pennies. Guess I need to order mine on-line. It's always nice to have some type of storage when you don't have the bags on.
